Friedrich Wölher is a famous German Chemist. He was born on July 31 in 1800 in Eschersheim, Frankfurt, Germany.

His father was : Anton August Wohler

worked as a Court official at Frankfurt.

Friedrich was interested in chemistry at a young age and collected minerals. He studied medicine at Marburg University in 1820 and transfered in Heidelberg after a year. He obtained his medical degree in 1823 specifically in obstertrics.

He then pursued his love for chemisty and trained at sweden. Supervised by Jöns Berzelius. during his stay for over a year he studied mineral analysis in Stockholm and learned swedish language.

1825 he also had a position at Berlin trade school

1827 he was the first person to isolate metal aluminum

1828 he isolatef pure beryllium from beryllium chloride

1828 he experimented with ammonium cyanate – organic compounds can be produced from inorganic compounds

He married his cousin: Franziska Wöhler

1828 he had 2 children

1831 he appointed to yhe institute of Technology in Kassel.
