…orange wednesday…

a few words.

(what sam wrote as an attachment to the selling agent/bank when we placed an offer on our house on 8/31/11)

“Although it is difficult to express fully what owning this home might mean for my family, I know I can say that it would be a gift. My wife and I have long dreamed of a home to raise our two sons and our daughter-on-the-way in, a home which would be a space where they could feel rooted and loved in, a space in which they could bring their friends over and invite them into the comforts they themselves enjoy. As a pastor, along with my wife, we have longed for a home in which we can invite men & women, young & old to be cared for and loved, healed and given hope. This particular home may or may not be that space, but if God so grants, that is what this home will become for us. Thank you for considering our offer and hearing our heart.”

here is our home. it isn’t much, yet, but if you can dream… it is amazing.

tomorrow that wall will be gone!

in a few days those stairs will disappear!

in 6 weeks that baby will be born!

our downstairs studio

pool and pool house!

future home of Photographs by Anjuli. original 1960′s wallpaper- yes, it will be staying!

i’ve always prayed that we could buy a home before our 3rd child was born. over the summer i prayed that if we could buy a house before this little girl was born we could close by November.

we closed november 1st, 2011.

i’ll be posting pictures of our house being transformed over the next 3 weeks!
